He was my companion throughout the last few years.
He greeted me with enthusiasm and was patient.
He was the morning-lover that I could never be, jumping at the sound of the wake-up alarm.
He let me be his healer in the past.
He was mellow.
In the last few days his lungs filled up with white but he never seemed to give up the will to live regardless of the pain he seemed to be in.
RIP, Slurpee.
