Day 3: Sightseeing in Warsaw

I'd been in Poland for awhile, but had only ventured out of the hotel to a pharmacy where I mimed sore throat and dry cough. The afternoon sightseeing tour is always an exciting departure from exchange sessions and data entry at the conference.

Old Town Warsaw impressed me. Over 85 percent of the town was destroyed in WWII, but the citizens carefully reconstructed the historic main district brick for brick. Such a labor of love. I especially enjoyed seeing the church with Chopin's heart and Chopin's monument.
